Nails // SEVENTEEN Supreme Shine Nail Polish in 'Miami'

I love a pop of colour on my nails, especially in the recent sunshine. When browsing in boots recently this SEVENTEEN Supreme Shine Nail Polish in Miami really stood out to me. It’s a bright fuchsia shade that really puts me in a happy mood! I love how certain colours can do that!
The bottle states it had ‘up to 10 days wear’ and I’m on day 6 without a chip insight! I am super impressed as I constantly use my hands.
What is your favourite colour to paint your nails?

Nails // H&M Nail Polish in 'Serenity Now'

Huge apologies for the feet! I am not a fan of feet but I wanted to share with you this gorgeous polish. Whilst in H&M recently I stopped and had a mooch at their beauty bits. It was the first time I have had a proper look at the range and this gorgeous polish caught my eye!
It’s called ‘Serenity Now’ and is a fantastic cobalt blue which is one of my favourite colours. It surprised me as it is really good quality, it has a great brush, is easy to apply and didn’t chip!
Have you tried any of H&M’s beauty range?

MAC Girl About Town Lipstick

Is it possible to actually love a lipstick, I mean really LOVE?! I wanted to invest in a new MAC lippy for a while but have been hesitant as just couldn’t decide on a shade! After months of ‘umming’ and ‘aaaahing’ I decided on ‘Girl about Town’ and I can’t explain how happy I am that I did! I am so in love with this shade, it’s a complete beaut!

‘Girl about Town’ is a blue based bright pink fuchsia and It's an Amplified Crème formula, so it's completely opaque, semi-creamy, and really pigmented. It can be built up on your lips and it doesn't budge. My skin tone is pretty fair but I think it would look fab on most skin tones. Being so well pigmented it really stays put and when it does start to fade it leaves a gorgeous stain.

It applies very smoothly with no patchiness or drying sensation and doesn’t seem to smudge or bleed. To top it all off it has a gorgeous Vanilla scent which just adds to its perfection for me. What more could you want in a lip product!

I have been wearing this lipstick every day and it’s so versatile you can easily wear it day and night.
If you were keen to find a negative to this product, the only thing I can think of is the £15.00 price tag. However it is so well pigmented that you really don’t need much to get good coverage so I think it will last a while. It’s also just such a good quality product I feel I can justify the price tag.

Nails // Seventeen Gel Colour in ‘Mocha-tini’

Ooooh a neutral colour! Very different for me as I do tend to like my bright and bold nails. However last Saturday one of my lovely friends got married, so for the wedding I wore a simple Navy dress and in an attempt to be a little classy for once I thought neutral nails were the way to go!
I went for Seventeen Gel Colour in ‘Mocha-tini’ which as it says on the tin is a gorgeous light mocha colour. I really like the colour, which is very different for me. I am also a huge fan of the Seventeen Gel Colour range which I have nothing but good things to day about. It claims to last up to 8 days, which it seems to do. So it is long wearing, has a gorgeous glossy finish and is really easy to apply.
Are you a fan of neutrals or are do you like a pop of colour like me?

Maybelline New York New Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser

It is terrible rare that I write a ‘meh’ or bad review about a product. I love to share beauty bits that I am excited about and want you guys to know of! So I feel a bit weird writing this post. I had heard so much hype around Maybelline New York’s Baby range and I’ve been really getting into primers lately so I was excited to purchase Maybelline New York New Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser and give it a try!
At £7.99 it’s a reasonable price when I compare it to recent primers I’ve used such as Benefits Porefessional and Laura Mercers Primer, both of which I love. The product itself is a clear paste and when applying all I can compare it to is Vaseline but not as greasy. Not something you particularly want to use as a base under your make up. The purpose of primers is to smooth out any lines or blemishes on your skin so your makeup looks flawless, but sadly I didn’t experience this when using this product. It also didn’t hold any of my make up in place, it just made me face kind of slimy.
I had really high hopes for Maybelline New York’s Baby range but so far I’ve just not been that impressed!
Have you tried this product? Did it work for you?

Nails // Gelish in Deep Sea and Glitter

For my birthday way back in January a couple of my friends treated me to a voucher for my local beauty salon. I have been so busy that I have only recently got a chance to use it! I decided to go for gelish nails as I was attending one of best pals wedding the following day. To co-ordinate with my dress I went for the shade Deep Sea with a gorgeous layer of glitter on top. I am so chuffed with the results, there is nothing like getting your nails done professionally.

Nails // SEVENTEEN Gel Colour in 'Razberrito'

This is such a fun colour! Razberrito is a vibrant coral / bright pink shade. I know i have raved about SEVENTEENS Gel Colour range before but it is such a great polish. Its chip proof and really good quality. This is a great shade for spring and adds a fun pop of colour to any outfit.
What colour nails do you like to have for spring?

Lush's 'Tea Tree Water'

I have a confession to make... I have never used a toner before! I just assumed it was more money that I didn’t need to waste on a product I didn’t need when my cleanser and moisturiser seemed good enough. However that’s all changed lately, and boy was I wrong! My skins been a bit of a mess lately and a few people recommended Lush ‘Tea Tree Water’ which is a toner for oily, spot prone skin.  The idea of toners is that they remove any traces of cleansers, face products or dirt.
To use this toner I just sprayed it onto a cotton wool pad and swiped across my face. It smells so lovely and refreshing and is a mix of grapefruit water and tea tree water. My skin felt so lovely and clean after use!
I’ve now been using the Tea Tree water for a few weeks and it’s had a really positive effect on my skin. I’ve had barely any spots and when I do they aren’t as big or red! I think this is due to the antibacterial properties in the Tea Tree water, making my face a lot cleaner and fresher!

Nails // ESSIE 'On a Silver Platter'

Apologies for the short stumpy nails in the pic, but I have started to teach myself the ukulele and long nails get in the way! I hope you can see past that though as I just had to share this beautiful polish with you.
I can’t explain how much I love this Essie polish, I feel like I have mermaid nails! ‘On a Silver Platter’ is a gorgeous vintage gold shade with blue and silver bits of glitter in it. Essie polishes aren’t that cheap but I would definitely recommend this one!

The Body Shops Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-Oil

I have read a lot of positive reviews on The Body Shops Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-Oil, so when I spotted it in shop recently I couldn’t resist purchasing it to try it out for myself!
I think the packaging is quite cute, the lid is a pipette that you use to suck up the oil and put a few drops onto your hand. You then massage this onto your face after your usual cleansing routine before bed.  I have to admit I am a little wary of oils/serums as I have used a few that have made my skin greasier and it’s just not sunk in! However this stuff just sinks straight into my skin!
On the packaging it states it replenishes and recharges moisture. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and it’s had such a great effect on my face! My eczema on my cheeks has gone, my skins softer and I’ve even go as far as saying it leaves my skin looking more glowy in the mornings!
The Body Shop is onto a winner with this product and this Vitamin E overnight Serum-in-Oil has definitely made it onto my staple products list!

Nails // Miss Match Color Changing Nail Polish

I was so excited when I spotted Miss Match Mood Sensitive Color Changing Nail Polish from Urban Outfitters!

The colour I went for was Blue Melody, which shows a dark blue changing to a light blue. I was a little apprehensive as to how well it would work and if it would look ok as a nail colour for daily wear.  I have to warn you when applying this stuff stinks! It’s got a very strong chemical smell about it which is a little off putting. It also applies very thinly so needed 3 coats in order to get good coverage.
On the plus side though, it works a treat and is so much fun! In the cold it’s a light baby blue, and in heat it turns a dark navy blue. Check out this video to see its effects! Apologies for the quality of it, it was done on my phone.

If you are looking for a lovely looking good quality polish, this isn’t it but if you fancy a bit of fun this is highly recommended!

The Aloe Vera Dream Team

Lately my face has been a bit of a nightmare, it is a mass of contradictions! It can be terrible dry and then all of a sudden really greasy and spot central. I also get eczema on my cheeks, so finding skin products that work has been interesting!
I’ve been trying to use more natural products and Aloe Vera is top of my list, I even have purchased a plant! Aloe Vera has been used for a host of purposes since the ancient Egyptians called it the ‘plant of immortality’. Its leaves produce a clear gel that when broken off from the rest of the plant that can be applied topically to heal wounds and soothe. Or in my case sort out the burns I regular acquire from the kitchen and my dodgy cooking skills!
Aloe Vera works on various skin issues and ticked a few of the boxes on what I want in a skin product. It moisturizes the skin without giving it a greasy feel, so it`s perfect for anyone with an oily skin complexion. It also treats acne as it contains two hormones: Auxin and Gibberellins (get me being all scientific!). These two hormones provide wound healing and anti-inflammatory properties that reduce skin inflammation. Giberellin in Aloe Vera acts as a growth hormone stimulating the growth of new cells. It allows the skin to heal quickly and naturally with minimal scarring. As an added bonus it Aloe Vera also contains beta carotene, vitamin C and E which are all antioxidants that can help improve the skin's natural firmness and keep the skin hydrated.

The first product I want to tell you about is one that someone suggested trying, The Body Shops Calming Facial Cleanser for sensitive skin. After washing my face I apply the cleanser to cotton wool pads and gently swipe across my face to remove any make up and grime. This product has been amazing! My skin has not reacted at all and feels so clean and fresh after use.
The second product in my Aloe Vera dream team is JASON Aloe Vera Pure Natural Moisturising Gel which I came across on lookfabtastic.com. As I’ve already mentioned Aloe Vera is amazing for healing skin and I thought it might help with the acne scarring I have on my chin. I love this stuff! It’s a gel so goes on a little gooey but it works wonders and is quick to sink into your skin. My scarring is definitely less noticeable, my skin is so much softer and my pores have reduced!
I’d really recommend both of these products as they have made such a difference to my skin! I’m one happy lady!

Nails // Seventeen Gel Colour in Pretty Bang Bang

My new obsession is Seventeens Gel Colour range, it’s just so good! It stays put for ages and is really good quality polish! I love it! The latest one that made it into my boots shopping basket is the shade ‘Pretty Bang Bang’ which is a dark lilac. I really love the colour and think it’s perfect for this time of year! I really recommend this polish if you are looking for a high street gel, you just can’t go wrong!

Benefit ‘From LeeLee with Love’ Gift Set

I have wanted Benefits Porefessional for ages! I was lucky enough to receive a few samples of the product and absolutely loved the stuff but I couldn’t justify the £24.50 price tag for a primer. So when I came across this awesome offer from Boots it was like all my prayers had been answered!
They have this gorgeous ‘From LeeLee with Love’ Gift Set that contains Full size the POREfessional primer, a full size they’re real mascara, and a 10ml Laugh with Me Lee Lee fragrance  all for £29.50! I just couldn’t resist making this purchase! A 30ml benefit fragrance is around £29.50 and the mascara is £19.50, so all together this set is worth £54 meaning a huge saving of £24.40. What a deal, I just had to share it all with you!
I am devoted user of Benefits ‘They’re Real’ Mascara, check out my review here. I just haven’t found anything that matches its quality! The perfume is gorgeous, a nice musky scent that I can see becoming a firm favourite. The gift box it comes in is a lovely printed metal tin that I can’t wait to find a purpose for!
This would make a lovely mother’s day present or if you’re naughty like me a treat for yourself?

Nails // Models Own in Pinky Brown

For a while now I keep going for bright clean colours for my nails, I think it’s been with the dreary weather I like to perk things up with a splash of colour! So for a change this week I decided to try a darker shade with Models Own Nail Polish in Pinky Brown. The colour is what it says on the tin! However it’s a glittery shade and looks very shimmery in the light. I really like this colour and have been receiving quite a few compliments!

Nails // Seventeen Gel Colour in Mint BON BON

I am obsessed with Gel polishes! I totally see a future where normal polishes are long gone and only Gel ones exist. I always have my eyes open to try new brands and couldn’t resist trying Seventeen’s Gel Colour range. Seventeen’s not a brand I used to turn to but lately I’ve tried a few of their products and have been really impressed!
This one didn’t let me down! Mint BON BON is a gorgeous dark mint green. I love bright nails at this dreary time of year! It states on the bottle it lasts 8 days, well I’ve been wearing this one for around 12 days now (yes I’m lazy!) and there is no chipping, only a bit of re-growth!
I am definitely going to be trying the other shades in this range!

MAC Eye Shadow in Satin Taupe

A while back I wrote THIS POST about my favourite three MAC eye shadows. Well ladies, a new contender has entered the ring in the shape of ‘Satin Taupe’ It’s a gorgeous brown/lilac shade, okay I guess taupe, as it says on the tin! It’s also slightly shimmery and is just such a perfect colour.
As I’ve waffled on before, I know MAC shadows are a little pricey at £12.50 but I really do believe they are worth every penny. As with all MAC shadows I have previously tried, this one didn’t let me down. It’s highly pigmented, doesn’t go all powdery and fall all over your face, and it actually stays in place all day! I spent the whole of last Saturday with a friend and she even made a comment at the end of the day that she couldn’t believe my eye shadow was still place and wanted to know what it was!
Mostly I am just completely in love with this shade, it’s just so ‘me’! What do you all think? What us your favourite MAC eye shadow?

Nails // Models Own in Pink Fizz

Back in January I was incredible naughty and massively took advantage of Models Own 50% off everything offer and this was one of my lovely purchases, Models Own Nail Polish in Pink Fizz. It’s an absolutely gorgeous champagne pink glitter, and I can honestly say I am so chuffed with the results. I can’t stop swooning over my nails! For real.
Most glitter shades you need to put hundreds of layers on in order to get a decent coat, well not with this one! Only two coats ladies! I’ve had it on for a few days now and it’s pretty chip resistant too. Fully recommend this one, its girly with an edge!

Nails // Topshop Nails in 'Wide Awake'

Another week another Nails post! I should probably give them a break but its keeping them pretty stops me from biting them! Terrible habit but I’m working on it! Today’s nails are painted in ‘Wide Awake’ from Topshops Nails range. I love Topshops Nail polish, it’s such a fab range and it is chip proof! Seriously! This is one of the best polishes for this and I don’t know why we don’t hear more about this range!
The only way I can describe the shade ‘Wide Awake’ is as a dirty orange, a sort of muted bright orange. I know that doesn’t particularly sell it, but take my word for it when I say it’s a gorgeous colour! It’s definitely a bit different and adds a pop of colour in this winter weather. I really like it, it adds a bit of fun to my wardrobe.

What do you think?

Nails || Models Own Hyper Gel Polish in Lilac Sheen

Lately I have heard tons about Models Own Hyper Gel Nail Varnish and have been very tempted by them so when they recently have a 50% off sale on their website I just HAD to make a purchase! Er ok that’s not strictly true... I bought a one hyper gel set as well as a couple of sets and numerous brushes! Whooops!
Today’s nails are Models Own Hyper Gel Nail Varnish in Lilac Sheen. I am in LOVE with this colour!! It’s just too gorgeous! This is one of the best gel polishes I have ever used, I’ve been wearing it for over a week now and it still in one piece, no chips, still shiny! I keep getting asked where I got my nails done, the ultimate compliment!
Have you tried any of the Hyper Gel shades?
