Review: Topshop Lip Bullets

Red lips seem to be having a major moment, as I normally go for pinks and coral shades, red seems a bit more out there for me. However, never being one to shy away I thought I would take the plunge and start experimenting with reds.
Coinciding with this Topshop have released their Lip Bullets (can you see where we are going with this... I am amazing at talking myself into buying new products, any excuse!) I’m already a huge fan of Topshop’s lipsticks and they come in a range of gorgeous shades and stay on forever!

I decided to go for the ‘Joyride’ Lip Bullet which is a gorgeous bright red. I found it easy to apply and its quite moisturising, a bit of a cross between a lipstick and a lip gloss. It left a lovely sheen and finish.

I think I may have actually converted to being a bit of a fan of red lips! I love the colour and think it kind of suits me.
The only ‘meh’ point I have about this product is that you need to keep reapplying constantly. It’s not very long wearing which is a shame.

Review: Barry M Nail Art Pens

I suffer from severe nail art envy! I often see some fantastic designs and wish I was artistic enough to give it ago. With lots of fab products available now, I decided to embrace the trend and invested in two Barry M Nail Art Pens in Black and Silver.
Deciding on an Aztec design I went for a neutral base, painting my nails in ‘Ambitious’ by Me Me Me. As a novice I chose to use the pens on just a couple of my nails on each hand. I was really surprised by how easy the nail art pens were to use. It was just like using a normal pen and the nib created a fine line. My only issue with this product in terms of application was that I’m right handed so doing the left hand was fine, but trying to do detail on the right one with my left hand proved difficult!
The silver pen didn’t show up very well, but I think this was due to the base polish I used. I think it might look really cool on a navy or black base which I will definitely be giving a try.
I imagine the more you use this product the more confident you get and the better it looks. The only downer I have to say about these nail art pens is that it doesn’t last on your nails for very long. Within 24 hours the majority of it had rubbed off!

Revlon: Gel Eye Liner Review

Welcome to my final Revlon review, from my 3 for 2 purchases at boots! I love Gel Eyeliner. Fact. I find it stays on a lot longer than any other form of eye liner and gives a more defined look. Therefore I am always willing to try a new gel eye liner and I couldn’t resist when I saw this one and was choosing a third Revlon product to buy.

I was impressed with the packaging, the lid comes apart to become the brush so a fab little compact you could easily carry around in your handbag. The brush itself was a little wide for my liking, I’m used to a fine tip when I use my MAC liner brush, so I can make my line as thin or as thick as I like. This brush meant I could only manage a thick line which is a bit annoying.

The actual gel eye liner is fantastic! It creates a gorgeous glossy black finish and stays put for hours and hours. I am really impressed and will definitely use it again, just with a different brush!

Motivational Monday #14

So if you saw last week’s Monday post, you’ll know I’ve been on a bit of a downer and was determined to snap out of it. That’s sometimes easier said than done, but do you know what? Life is pretty good! I have a good job, amazing friends and family and I’ve got nothing to moan about that can’t be fixed with a little positive action.

Sometime you just need a little faith in yourself....

One Crazy Week: Craig David, The Wurzels, Fossil Hunting and 2 Hangovers

Sorry for the quietness on the blog the past few days, but I have been having one very crazy week! Work was pretty busy as normal (I juggle a full time job and a part time one) and on top of that I got to enjoy a few fun filled social activities, so to say I am shattered today is an understatement!
Let me talk you through it! On Tuesday night I went and saw Craig David perform in Southampton, I wouldn’t say he's normally my cup of tea but a friend really wanted to go and I’m pretty happy to tag along on any adventure! So to my surprise I actually really enjoyed it! I’d forgotten how many well known songs he’d made back in the day. He also did this incredible DJ set in the middle of his act, it was a mix of old school Mo town and R and B. Apparently his sets get played on Kiss Fm and I would fully recommend checking it out.
Friday evening I think was my highlight of the week, I headed to wimborne football grounds to watch the wurzels! This involved lots of cider and bopping around, I even managed to get a hug off one of them! See the photo of me and the old bloke below.

Me, hay bales and cider.....
As you can imagine, Saturday ended up being a bit of a write off! I haven’t really drunk much lately and I think I’m out of practice. I managed to drag myself out of my pit in time to go and watch the Hangover 3 in the evening with a couple of friends. I know, how appropriate! I love the first 2 hangover films, and this one was funny but it definitely didn’t live up to the others which was a shame. However 2 hours ogling Bradley Cooper, what more can a girl want!

To make up for wasting the day yesterday I was up and out early. I normally use Sundays as my chance for a lie in but I was out the house at 8:45am this morning which was a bit of a shock to the system. I went with a friend and her son fossil hunting for his birthday. We booked our selves onto a walk in charmouth and they show what you’re looking for and help you find them. I was useless and only found one! My friend and her son were pros and found quite a few. It was a really fun way to spend such a sunny morning and it has made me want to do more fun stuff on Sundays.

I then came home to a BBQ with my family, such a perfect finish to a mad week! I hope everyone is having a lovely bank holiday weekend, sadly I have to work tomorrow but I’m hoping the sun still stays around!
Apologies for the photos on today’s post, I am in desperate need of a new camera and have resorted to using my phone. Which seems to let me down a lot! If anyone wants to recommend an all purpose camera that would be fab??? I need one that works for blog photos but can also take on hol and is something small and easy to carry around. I’m off to Egypt in a few weeks and it’s supposed to be amazing snorkelling so tempted by waterproof cameras at the mo.....

Thankful Thursdays! #2

Ola people! Hope your all having a fine week? I can’t believe its Thursday again already, time is just flying by. Is anyone having a complete freak out that it’s nearly June already? It makes me determined to make time to stop and appreciate things in my life. So here is what I am thankful for this week:

~ The Beautiful flowers my mum surprised me with! Check out the picture above, it was such a pretty bouquet. My mum is a complete inspiration to me, she has MS and is quite poorly with it, but no matter how she is feeling she always puts everyone else first and has such a big heart.

~ Craig David! Tuesday night I went to a Craig David concert. I am more of an Indie girl so wasn’t really expecting it to be my cup of tea but I have to say I had such a fab night! His voice was amazing, and he did this wicked DJ set halfway through night which I wasn’t expecting. He was mashing up old school mo town and R n B, I have to admit it was awesome! It was also fun to do something different on a school night!

~ Rowing. I am part of the local rowing club and we row Cornish pilot gigs, I’ve been doing this for about 10 years. I went out in one last Saturday and there is nothing in the world like being out at sea first thing in the morning to wake you up, make you feel ready for the day. It is a truly magical experience.

What have you been Thankful for this week?

Monday Motivation #13

I’ve been a bit slack at doing these posts lately, probably because I’ve not been that motivated myself. I’ve had a pretty rubbish couple of weeks, for no particular reason at all, do you ever get those? Lots of daft little things have gone wrong, I’ve had super bad hay fever and it’s all just made me feel a bit down. Therefore I think today’s quote is kind of perfect, you can have a rough time, that’s life, but you suck it up and plod on!

Happy Monday people!

Sleep Issues...

For the past couple of months I’ve had real problems trying to get to sleep. I am so wide awake at bed time it’s unreal! I have to force myself to go to sleep and end up just laying there for hours. Then the next day I am so tired at work, so by the time evening I’ve got my second wind and it begins again. Vicious circle! I’ve told numerous friends and family of my predicament and everyone seems to have some ‘amazing’ tip that will make me drop off as soon as my head hits the pillow.

‘Counting sheep’, seriously?!! Does anyone actually do this? A) it’s boring! I know that’s kind of the idea, but... b) I have a crazy imagination, my sheep end up with names and cool outfits. Then I imagine a sexy herdsman looking after them...this one doesn’t work for me!
Then a few people have said go to bed early and read a book, ‘a few chapters in and you’ll be fast asleep’. So clearly these people don’t know me very well at all, I find a good book and I’m hooked, I’ll be up till 4am to finish it. I love books!
However, I have been given a few suggestions that seemed to have worked, so I thought I would share with my top 6 suggestions.
1.       A relaxing bath, I know this is a pretty obvious one but it works a treat! Lots of bubbles light some candles and add some chilled music.

2.       I know lavender is a bit of an old wives tale, and it could be psychological but I find it helps. I was given a lavender room spray which I use for my pillows. I am also having a total love affair with ‘A French Kiss’ Lush bath bomb which is lavender scented. Add it to my previous tip and it equals perfection.

3.       A tidy bedroom equals a clear mind. I am a complete believer in this. I am really OCD about things being clean but I am little miss messy! My excuse is I juggle two jobs along with various other commitments so am in the really bad habit of running in, dumping stuff and running out again. As I am temporarily back with the parents at the mo, I also don’t have much storage space. However excuses aside I’ve been making a conscious effort to be tidier and have a tranquil sleep space.

4.       Hot milk, this stems back to my childhood and my mum giving me a warm mug of milk before bed. Now at 27, I still believe this works!
5.       Are you ready for the next day? Sounds daft, but if you’re like me and a bit of a last minute Larry and lay awake at night thinking of all the things you must remember to do in the morning. Make your life easier and do as much as you can the night before, make your lunch for work, get your outfit out ready. These things do help to make you feel a bit more organised and less stressed.
6.       Yoga, I’ve only recently got into this and I bloody love it! Bit gutted I didn’t try it out sooner. I’ve found it really helps to stretch out my muscles and relax me. I’ve been doing it half an hour before I go to bed. There are tons of fab lessons to follow on You Tube, I’d recommend trying out a few to find out what style suits you and just give it a go!
So I’m by no means cured, there are still nights where I’m staring at the ceiling at 3am. Although these points have all helped massively and also encouraged me to relax and take more me time in general.
Anyone else having sleep issues? How do you cope with it?

Thankful Thursdays!

As I've mentioned before I am trying to be a more positive person, focusing on the good in my life. A lot of us fall into the trap of seeing the glass half full, and if a few bad things happen you can easily be sucked into negative vibes. For me I know my main problem is I worry ALOT about everything and tend to over think things. I am working on this though!

So I have decided that every so often I am going to jot down a few things I am thankful for and pop a little post up about it. The idea being it will make me stop and reflect on the ace things in life. So this week, here is what I am thankful for:

~ Sunshine! Okay I know it's not really stuck around but seeing it appear every so often gets me really excited for summer. Sunshine definitely feeds my soul!

~ An amazing weekend catching up with awsome friends! I can sometimes feel a bit lonely but there is no need for it. I have some super cool friends who are always there for me.

~ The south coast - where I live! I often take for granted that I live in such a beautiful place with an incredible coastline . I can't imagine not being able to see the sea everyday, i would hate it. This week I've been for a few doggy walks across some gorgeous beaches near where home. Check out the photo of a local small beach.

~ My missing motivation returning! I've been lazy and sluggish for so long, but I can now call myself a regular at the gun again and I've lost a stone so far on my weight loss mission. Whoooop for me!

What have you felt thankful for this week?

ESSIE: Chubby Cheek Nail Polish

I come from a small sea side town with limited shops, they tend to all be closing down due to the current financial climate, so when I say limited we have a new look and Debenhams and that’s pretty much it. I have now become a huge online shopper which has its pros and cons. However to my huge delight, I have discovered that my local Superdrug is now selling Essie Nail polishes and not only that our Debenhams now has a Bare Minerals counter!! For a beauty blogger in a small town this is massive news!!

So you can imagine my poor balance must be quivering at this thought, but I am on a saving mission at the moment. So I managed to behave and just treat myself to a couple of Essie Polishes...

The first one I’ve tried is ‘Chubby Cheeks’ is a gorgeous dark coral shade, slightly different to what I would normally wear but I am so in love with this product! The shade is perfect, it has a cool matt look and it dries so quickly, definitely worth the £7.99 price tag.

REVLON: Color Burst Lip Butter Review

This is the second Revlon product I am reviewing, the first was Revlon’s nail enamel which you can check out here. All purchased as part of a 3 for 2 offer at Boots.... I can’t resist an offer!
The Color Burst Lip Butters have been recommended to me by numerous other bloggers, so I was excited to give them a try. They are available in a range of colours and I was tempted by a few of them! For once, I was well behaved (lack of pennies helped this decision!) and just purchased one in ‘Candy Apple’, which is a gorgeous dark coral colour.

It is lovely to apply, really soft on your lips and feels so moisturising. It’s kind of somewhere between a lip stick and a lip gloss. The colour goes on as it looks in the stick, which I loved and it’s a gorgeous tone which seems to stay put! I also like the cute packaging.
I shall definitely be making a trip to purchase some of the other shades and would highly recommend this product.
I will be posting my third and final Revlon review, which will be about their gel eye liner next week.

Monday Motivation #12

This quote couldn’t be any more fitting to where I am right now. I want to go travelling more than anything, you know some people have dreams of careers, families etc. The only thing I’ve know I’ve wanted to do is travel, to see the wonders of the world. Now I have been super lucky and have travelled a bit, I’ve spent a few months in both Canada and Australia and had an amazing time. However I desperately want to see more, I want to see South America, New Zealand, Asia.... I can spend hours dreaming away time looking into possible adventures, I love checking out websites like real gap, G Adventures and Gap Year for inspiration. If I could just find a way I could be paid to travel I would be there!
I know what you’re all thinking, just go for it! I’m pretty sure all my friends and family are fed up of me talking about it but not following through with any action!
The issue I have is money! I’ll put my hands up and be honest with you all, I’m not the best at saving but I am working on it. I moved back home last year, which is not an easy feat at 27. When you’ve had your own space for so long moving back in with the rents is hard going! For starters you notice your parents have got old, which is weird! You’re also very aware that it’s not ‘your’ house. Don’t get me started on the backwards feeling, when all your friends are settling down, getting married and having babies. I must point out my parents are pretty chilled out so I can’t complain!
Back to the point of this post... I move back to the parentals with hopes of being there for a few months and saving tons. The reality is I am still pretty skint but I am saving a bit each month. Life sadly gets in the way, cars break down (a lot), and things need replacing, all resulting in large dents in the savings.
So what I mean to say, is it is hard work and it is taking time (waaaaay longer than id like) but I am determined I will be out there seeing the world and achieving my dream, and soon!
Alternatively if anyone knows a way I can travel the world for free (I am a good writer / reviewer!) please get in touch, I am open to ideas?!!

DIY Tutorial: Photo Printed Trinket Box

I was umming and aaaahing about what to get my friend Amy for her birthday. I am super skint at the moment, so figured I could make her something, hoping she would think the thought was sweet even if the gift turns out rubbish!

So for inspiration I turned to pinterest. Yes I know it’s loved by bored housewives around the world. I can assure you that I don’t fit in that category, but I think it appeals to my love of lists, does that make sense?! I’m sure if you’ve ventured over to pinterest you will have seen the printing photos onto wood pin that appears a lot. Well I decided to take this idea a step further and make a photo trinket box.

Items needed...
A wooden box
A few paint brushes
Mod Podge
Gel Medium
A printed photo onto normal paper
A clean cloth
White gloss paint

What to do...
1.       Paint the area you want to place your photo in Gel Medium.

2.       Stick your photo face down onto this area, making sure it’s really flat with no air bubbles.

3.       Leave to dry over night.
4.       When it’s completely dry, remove the paper very gently by rubbing it with a clean damp cloth. Making sure you remove any paper residue left at the end.

5.       When all residue has gone, paint over the photo with Mod Podge and leave to dry for 24 hours.

6.       At this point you may be happy with your trinket box as it is but I decided I wanted to paint the rest of the box white, which I did using a quick dry white gloss paint.

7.       When dry I added a second coat. When dry you have a gorgeous photo printed trinket box to keep for yourself or it makes a gorgeous gift!

FOTD: My Work Face

I know a lot of Beauty Bloggers tend to post a regular Face of the Day, but I’m a tad boring and tend to wear the same make up each day to work. This is for two reasons: I am in a routine with it and can put my face on in about 5 minutes as I don’t need to think about it! This is hugely helpful, especially if you are like me and not a morning person and often wake up late and are running around like a mad chicken! Secondly, I like the work face I’ve created, it suits my style. I work with young people so tend to dress pretty casual – jeans and converse are regulars for a work outfit. If my make up was full on it just wouldn’t work, but it’s enough to ease my make up addiction!

So here is my ‘Work Face’...

FACE: MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC15, Clinique Moisture Surge in shade 02
EYES: MAC Eye Shadow in Retrospeck, Topshop in Precision Eyeliner, MAC Gel Eyeliner in Blacktrack, Benefit They’re Real Mascara
CHEEKS: Benefit’s Fine One One
LIPS:  Revlon’s Just Bitten Kissable Lip Stain in Rendezvous

REVLON: Nail Enamel Review

I’ve been recommended by many friends and fellow bloggers lately various Revlon products. I don’t know why but I’ve never really thought of the brand when makeup shopping, I guess for a long time it appeared it appeared to me as a range for elder women. However times have changed, they have the beautiful (and my girl crush) Emma Stone on their advertising campaign and I hear people raving about their products left, right and centre.

Currently at Boots, they have a 3 for the price of 2 offer on Revlon products so I couldn’t resist making a purchase!  After a lot of deliberation I chose a nail polish, their gel eye liner and one of their lip butters and I shall be reviewing all 3 products over the next few weeks.
First to be reviewed is Revlon’s Nail Enamel in Scandalous. As many of my regular readers will know, I have a slight obsession with finding the perfect glitter polish, so couldn’t stop myself from wanting to try this one out.
The colour really appealed to me, a black polish with purple glitter, I couldn’t wait to give it a whirl. In reality, on my nails, the glitter was more of a pink colour which I was a bit disappointed about. To get a decent coverage I had to apply 3 coats as the black is quite thin. This meant it took forever to dry, and if you’re a bit of a fidget like me, smudges and smears are not a good look!
Now I normally always write positive reviews about products I love, so posting a negative write up is a little different for me. The reason I am reviewing it is because I’m in a real catch 22 with it. On one hand the application process was hard work but I completely love the final look. Also I have had it on for 4 days now and not a chip in sight!
It looks like I’m still on the hunt for my perfect glitter polish for now....

FOTD & OOTD: My Saturday Night Look

Apologies for the lack of posts of late, I haven’t had any internet at home for about a week which has been a massive pain. You don’t realise how much you use the internet for until you don’t have it! Turning it into a positive, it has also given me a nice little break from the blogging world, so I am now feeling more refreshed and raring to go! Lots of new blogging ideas I’m feeling really excited about, so make sure to keep popping back to take a look!

So here is something new from me... A face of the day and Outfit of the day post. There are two reasons why I’ve not done either of these before, firstly for a beauty blogger I am a bit lame and stick to what I know. I kind of vary between work wear makeup and an evening look. I will post my work wear makeup look soon so you can see what I mean! Secondly, for an outfit out the day, I can be seriously self conscious about how I look. You see a lot of bloggers who post these types of things and they are Tiny, tall and stunning. They also sport really cool looks, ones I would love to pull off but not sure I ever could! Anyways, I have recently lost a stone (still many to go) I’ve been working out loads and feeling really good about myself, I’ve also been reading amazing blogs like The Militant Blogger who are just so body inspiring. Therefore I am going to post what I wore Saturday Night.
I had an awesome night out with two of my closest friends, it was full of laughs, lots of dancing and way too many drinks. Hence why this post is a day later than I was hoping! Let’s just say I was feeling a little more than sorry for myself yesterday! I don’t think it helped that I had been feeling a bit under the weather with the flu most of last week and had little to eat on Saturday beforehand, at least that’s what I’m blaming it on. Anyway you live and learn!
So my make up! I love a smoky eye look and a bright lip for a night out. Here are the products I used:

FACE: MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC15, Benefit You Rebel, Benefit Fake Up in 01 Light
EYES: Topshop Eyes in Mercury, Barry M Fine Glitter Dust in Silver, Topshop in Precision Eyeliner, MAC Gel Eyeliner in Blacktrack, Benefit They’re Real Mascara
CHEEKS: The Bodyshop Bronzer in Warm Glow
LIPS:  Rimmel London’s Apocalips in Stellar

I am a huge fan of anything glitter! I added glitter to this look as I was feeling a bit poorly still and knew it would cheer me up! Glitter makes everything seem better!

For my outfit, as I was still feeling a little under the weather I went for comfortable. My friends all love wearing dresses on a night out, but with my chicken drum stick legs I get a little self conscious. Therefore I went for black skinny jeans and a top I bought in Miss Selfridges when I was in Manchester over Exeter. I love the top as it’s a dark peach colour with stunning beaded straps. I dressed the outfit up a bit with a pretty necklace, and my favourite pair of going out shoes. They have a gold glitter wedge and are the only heels I can wear all night as they are so comfortable!
Top: Miss Selfridges
Black Skinny Jeans: Next
Shoes: New Look
Necklace: New Look

Apologies for the poor quality photos! Hope you can still get the gist of my look, my camera completely died on me and I’m limited to my iphone at the moment. It can take fab photos but when there is not much light it’s not great! I hope you all like this post and have had a fab bank holiday weekend!

Top 3 Fragrances

Fragrances are such an individual thing, what smells gorgeous on one of my friends can smell horrendous on me. The scents I love have also changed over the years as my tastes have altered, I used to love really musky smells but I couldn’t stand sweet smelling perfumes however my day to day one now is really sweet! Perfumes fascinate me due to the whole personal element, they can be so romantic, remind you of special occasions or of a certain special person.

I thought it would make for a nice post to tell you about my top 3 perfumes of the moment and would love you to tell me what your favorite is too!

1.            Diamonds Eau De Parfum from Next
This perfume is what I wear every day, it’s a bargain at £10 for 70ml so I don’t feel like I have to use it sparingly like my more expensive ones. When I am wearing it I often get compliments and asked what it is. It is a very sweet smell which I really like and smells very similar to Paco Rabanne Lady Million but is a fraction of the price! I think this perfume is great perfume for everyday use and it comes in a very attractive bottle and is a beautiful fragrance.
2.            Yves Saint Laurent – Elle
I received this perfume as a present at Christmas from my mum. It smells woody and spicy but sufficiently floral to sweeten it up a little and make it more feminine and I love it so much. It's very modern and not too girly and has a very "expensive" smell to it. Perfect for a sexy night out. It is fairly strong, so I tend to use it more for an evening out. The staying power is great, it lasts for hours.
3.            Giorgio Armani Code for Women
This is definitely my most favourite perfume, I absolutely love this for its floriental uniqueness right down to the sultry looking bottle. I've got several compliments when wearing it. It’s definitely a lot stronger than the other two fragrances and it is something I’d wear on a date or a night out, is say it’s way too heavy for day time wear. As it’s very strong and lasts the whole day/night so I wouldn't go over kill when applying it! Overall I love it, as it makes me feel daring and sexy in addition to feeling sweet and feminine.

BOOK CLUB: The Longest Holiday by Paige Toon

I have just heard that the month of May is Chick Lit Month, so I feel it’s pretty appropriate to post a review on a fab chick lit book it only just this minute finished reading! What are you guys reading this month? Who’s your favourite chick lit author?

The Blurb
'Don't wait for the storm to pass; learn to dance in the rain…' Laura has been married to the man of her dreams for seven months. But a week before the wedding, Matthew made a terrible mistake. Escaping the humiliation that is now her marriage, Laura is whisked off to Florida's Key West by her best friend Marty. A carefree holiday full of cocktails and fun, surrounded by gorgeous, tanned men, is exactly what the doctor ordered. Distraction comes in the form of sexy Cuban scuba diver Leo. Laura's instant attraction to him knocks her flying, and she falls hard. As the end of the holiday approaches, Laura doesn't want to go home. Is it time to face the music? Or is there more to Key West than a holiday romance?
The Review
Before I begin this review, I must confess that Paige Toon is one of my favourite authors. I have read every one of her books and I would find it really hard to pick a fault with any of them. She has an incredible talent, in terms of making a location come to life and really getting the reader immersed in the emotions of the characters, this author just doesn’t fail to impress. Paige recently announced that she is going to be releasing a teen fiction series, and I know I won’t be able to stop myself, I can pretty much guarantee I will be taking a look at them too. So, as you can see I’m a huge fan and have been counting down the hours for this book to be released, and I wasn’t disappointed.
The main character is Laura, who has escaped on holiday with her girlfriends after her perfect Husband makes an awful mistake that changes everything. After this mistake comes to light Laura needs to get away to clear her head and have time to think about whether or not she can forgive her husband and save her marriage. Laura jets away to Florida’s Key West with her friends Marty and Bridget.

However it’s not long before her thoughts are distracted by the gorgeously hot Leo. But are her feelings for Leo just confusing matters more, I mean the holiday has to come to an end at some point surely?

Laura is really easy to relate to, and probably one of my favourite characters from Paige’s books. I felt her emotions were realistic and it was easy to get swept up in the story.
All Paige’s books have a great male character that you really fall for and Leo isn’t any exception! When we first meet him he feels a little mysterious but as we get to know more about his character and his background you can’t help but completely lust after him along with Laura.

The author also puts a really good  twist towards the end which I never saw coming and really keeps you guessing as to where it’s all going to end. I found with the majority of this story there was a lot of fun twists and turns and it had a great pace to it.

The whole of the book was fantastically written the descriptive writing made you feel as though you were there on holiday with the characters. The setting of Key West was beautiful! Paige really made the place come to life. You can tell the author did her research as the descriptions of Key West are truly magical, I’m sure I’m not the only one who has a desperate desire to go visit the place now after reading this book!

I highly recommend The Longest Holiday as it’s got a bit everything in it, romance, great characters and a beautiful location! As with any Paige Toon book I felt such a range of emotions throughout the story, one minute I was laughing and the next I was tearing up! I read this book within a day, and I feel so disappointed it had to end; I’m not sure what to do with myself now! I think you’ll probably find me searching holidays to Key West and getting upset as I can’t afford it with my limited budget at the moment. So I shall have to settle with getting lost in some other book, but I’m not sure any would compete with this one right now! Huge Dilemma and any suggestions welcome!
